Key aspects are
- you can fit a standard PSU in a 2U so you'll save £50 ish over a 1U
- 80mm case fans are usually going to push more air arround than two or three 40mm
- you're able to accomodate a decent size heatsink and fan on the CPU.
- no probs fitting mobos with high rear panel sound connectors.
