Say the video file is 100MB and the embeddable SWF player is 20KB (Pardon my accuracy). If a viewer watched the full thing, that viewer would use 100MB and 21KB of bandwidth. If the viewer watched half the movie, the viewer would use 50MB and 21KB of bandwidth, and so on and so forth. Of course, this is a factory estimate (they have perfect internet, the only content on the page is the Player, etc, the reason I had 1 extra KB of bandwidth was because HTML files take up bandwidth too.)
