Virtuozzo is incredibly friendly to newbies in my opinion... requires very little 'tweaking' to get things running out of the box. Compare that to trying to build a commercially viable custom system with UML...
cPanel can be a little finicky to get going using the automated installer but once you've got one flawless install you can simply duplicate it for others saving a whole heap of time. Directadmin seems to run right out of the box at least on the CentOS template, as does Plesk.
