Domains with bad DNS...

Hi Guys,

I am writing a DNS Report type website, and wondered if any of you knew off hand any domains with problem DNS records that I can use to test my app?

(No need to point out the issue with my own domain

)

If anybody is interested, a working (alpha) version is available at http://dr.xoozoo.com/ which does some DNS tests and reports back the details.

It looks cool

Certainly more attractive than DNS report.

You might want to add some sort of timeout - searching for a domain with non-existent nameservers waits a while and then returns a message which looks like a system error.

Please could post here or PM me the domain you tested with which gave the error due to non-existant nameservers? So I can test on the same domain you had a problem with.

Chris - You should be OK now

I haven't totally worked around the cause just yet, that will probably be fixed over the weekend, but it will give a result now rather that just going to the error page - the timeout is still taking a while, although it *should* timeout after 1 second and retry 3 times – I’ll get it sorted soon.

I've fixed a couple of bugs, changed the design and added a couple of extra tests, still more to come.

Is there anything you would like to see on this?

Also was thinking about making it company brandable via domain name - is that something any of you may be interested in?

Sean - this is a great tool - I love the layout and styling which is far nicer than other options out there. (I preferred the colour scheme of the other day though rather than this new one).
It would be good if you hid the results section until a user has entered a domain name though - seems a bit out of place seeing all the categories before I've done a search.
Are you moving out the hosting business - I see your company details on here have changed from DCHosting and xoozoo don't seem to do hosting.

I no longer work for DC-Hosting, and am now concentrating on writing software, currently this is software primarily aimed at the hosting industry - but will write pretty much anything

Andrew - I have updated it so the results section is not displayed to begin with, I have also added a change skin link so you can change back to the old skin if you want (still needs a little tweaking - but should be fine if you preferred it)
