Thread: E-mail to BT/Yahoo PROBLEMS

Hi,

Has anyone got any advice on getting e-mail to BT/Yahoo.

I operate a pretty large e-mail system for a public body. We are now having exceptionally bad problem delivering e-mail to BT/YAHOO.

Yahoo will not respond to any complaints and we have not found a way of resolving the issue. We are very sure that we are not sending out any spam due to phishing or or other compromises.

Yahoo are constantly deferring messages (due to complaints) to the point that mail from our systems are bouncing.

Any ideas appreciated.

Ensuring you have SPF setup exactly as they wish, that the validity of the messages and content are good will get you a better reputation.

If you've been sending a lot of questionable messages, your IP reputation will be lower preferenced during peak times in comparison to others.

You may have to jump through hoops - but it really is the only way (believe me, coming from the back of re-addressing all of Websense's hosted infrastructure, where they didn't copy over the rep and within 10 seconds of the IP change we were being temp failed )

Plus 100pc RFC compliance of your mail server i.e. no NDRs ever, no backscatter, no s****ed reply-to or envelope addresses allowed, HELO correct, PTR correct, A record in place.

Chuff knows what the s***ed was, I can't even remember what I typed!

Have you tried Yahoo! Mail Bulk Sender Form

Also make sure you have correct RDNS, SPF, DomainKey's, DKIM etc the basic stuff!
