I used to use Web Position Gold v1 http://www.webposition.com a few years ago - did the job ok - tbh I prefer to do it by hand nowadays

-edit- reread the post and you're not really looking for optimisation software are you?

There used to be some software with the word "fox" in the title, can't remember it offhand. Try these:
    http://www.addme.com
    http://www.submit-it.com

Have to say the best way to get listed is just to get some links up and the spiders do the rest - as long as you have some listed sites to begin with

Its the only way to get listed, try and get all the links to you using the keyword your targetting in the anchor text.

It really is pointless buying any programs that submit you to the engine.

    Thanks everyone for the advice..
I have been reading up on it over the last few days and it would apear that the rules for serach engines have changed a lot since I last had to do it a few years ago..
Seems content with keywords and link popularity are the two areas to concentrate on..
