can anyone help me? I have a server with a company and I just need some help i am put my web files in /var/www/html and when i visit http://theip it shows cannot be found how come i cant see these files?

Not to be a silly or anything, but are you SURE that's the default directory?
And, I'll ask again... Did you google first!?!
Check your httpd.conf to find the DocumentRoot and yeah, make sure its installed/running.
