About Metropolitan Colocation Centre

The Netsight MCC is a managed colocation facility and data centre located in central Bristol. It is wholly owned and managed by Netsight Internet Solutions Ltd.

Whilst there are many good data centres in Birmingham, M'chester and of course London, companies needing managed rackspace in the South West have been rather short of options. The Netsight MCC has been designed to address this problem.

We offer sensibly priced colocation packages starting with just 1U of rack space. The facility is extremely easy to reach by road or train. Our staff are highly skilled, and can both assist with the configuration of your system and tailor certain aspects of the service to your requirements.

On top of the regular features of commercial co-location, this facility also has the added benefits of housing the hub of the BMEX network, and peering with SWERN, the South West England Regional Network (part of JANET - the Joint Academic Network).
The BMEX Metropolitan Area Network

The BMEX (Broadband Media Exchange) is a Bristol based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing innovative network-based services to digital media companies in the South West of England.

Because the Netsight MCC houses the hub of the BMEX network, it makes the facility ideal for:

Developers aiming to provide next-generation network services and collaborative applications to the South West.
Media companies looking for high bandwidth hosting (direct high-speed access to the BMEX core is available as standard).
University spin-out companies looking for commercial-grade hosting, but maintaining high-speed links to academic networks (BMEX peers directly with SWERN).
New-media companies looking either to host their own servers for greater flexibility or seeking fully managed hosting solutions.
