Hi all

I'm just looking into a few issues with our servers in a bluesqaure room

Could someone tell me the the ambient temperature of their system board, and also what sort of download/upload/bandwidth they are getting

If you dont know this info, could you let me know what i should be expecting

Upload/download depends on who's bandwidth you are using as well as your connection to/from

Ambient temperature

The aircon was showing about 22.3C yesterday in BSQ1 and a Dell r200 I've got in the rack is showing a happy 25-27 ish

We've not experianced any temprature issues in Bluesquare1 as far as im aware... presuming you have access to them for remote hands or a direct contract why not put a ticket in with the NOC - edit - or you colocation supplier...

we are in bluesquare house.

as you go in, turn right, then left, and its the door directly infront of you, is that the same room as you?

my system board is idling between 31-33
is that normal?

as for bandwidth, download speeds are 600kb /sec
Was thinking they would be higher

Sounds like the poundhost suite but I'm on the main floor. However 31-33 seems totally reasonable depending on the CPU/format etc. I would say you don't have a temprature issue

That sounds alot like the limit of an ADSL line..... your end possibly?

board @ ~35 yes thats normal

Pop up a test file onto the box and drop a link here and people will give yo a speedtest form their locations - but 600kb/s is meaningless unless you tell us from where to where
