Thread: Poundhost or Coreix

It could be different ram at different speeds just per chance, or it could be that coreix have more support staff and they do acctually have to make money to pay them from something.

Hmm, doing a bit more research, there are a few more negative posts on the web regarding PH than CI, though most of these seem quote old. Is it fair to say that PH might have had some growing pains but are now more stable than in the old days?

They definitely had growing pains - that was the main reason why I gave up two servers with them.

Network issues got more frequent, support response got slower, there was even an issue where new customers were offered new servers at half the price I was paying for a year old server but that's a different thread

Their attitude at the time was "we don't need you as much as you need a new hoster" so I left.

I still think they are one of the "best value" hosters around though and I would recommend them second to Olly

I've a couple of servers with Coreix for a over 2 years now, no problems with them at all. I've had 84 minutes of downtime in the last 24 months which as all down to the server, so there has been 0 network downtime. Their support has been great, although I have only had the deal with them a a couple of times a year. They have rebooted my server when its been down automatically too which has been nice.

I have no experience of poundhost btw.

I'd probably choose Poundhost, I don't actually use either at the moment, but I've heard better things about them.
