All about RAM speeds (DDR2/DDR3)

Ello,

Grabbed this from Digg this morning. Explains the true performance of the DDR3 gear and the high speed DDR2 stuff.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ests,1807.html

Explains it all and what's best. Might be of some help! Ill stick with my DDR800 stuff in simple dedis.

RAM is never a problem because the speed is generally dictated by the processor. So the memory you are pairing with the processor is more than adequate enough for the performance of the processor.

In any case i don't think there are any server applications short of some serious encoding that would benefit from faster memory!
