Hostname = FQDN - Fully Qualified Domain Name
most usually in the form of serverX.domain i.e.
server4.mdj101.co.uk or whatever
"multiple domains" doesnt come into it - it's simply that an IP when looked up *can* return a hostname - i.e. the value of the PTR record in the in-addr.arpa zone for that ip block.
for example:
C:\Users\Rob>nslookup 80.82.140.105
Name: operations.as29527.net
Address: 80.82.140.105
contrasted with:
C:\Users\Rob>nslookup 90.82.140.105
*** can't find 90.82.140.105: Non-existent domain
