Yeah, when we were there there were some big old extreme switches about, just not feeding us (directly at least, but then again, they looked like core switches).
I don't know if we were on some kind of legacy LAN (like the one they had problems with recently) but I seem to remember them doing a round of upgrades to allow them to monitor ports via SNMP. We never did get upgraded though, we were still on the crappy NetGear when we left.
I know BlueConnex use both Foundry and Extreme switches but the edge switch for us was most certainly NetGear that very occasionally needed a reboot. I never have trusted NetGear stuff, I try to like it but every time I go near it it breaks!

You are correct, PH's old legacy LAN was the last segment to be upgraded to the Extreme X150/X250/X350/X450 switches for in rack distribution. There are a small number of old switches in use which are being swapped out on a rack by rack basis. All new racks since the start of 2008 are totally Extreme Networks driven (until it gets to the all Cisco routing platform)
