Freethought is correct in that we used to install servers into a private suite in Blue Square 2, e.g. the suite was the entire first floor.
Oooops, forgot you had the rest of iomart's facilityies at your disposal now

Hmm, we will be using dual Xeon E5405's. I am having trouble finding exact details of their power consumption on the web, so at this point I've just been going off of Sentral's estimates since they've used them before.

E are better than X by worse than L

Given there are faster L's around than that, it might be worth your while getting pricing from them for the L Series.

    Interesting, thanks Jamie.

The unfortunate thing is that their pricing for Opteron's are coming out more expensive than the Intel's, even though the "Barcelona's" consistently come out slower. However, from what I have seen the Opteron's seem to consume far less power?

We've a Dual Quad box with 32GB of FBDIMMs and it draws ~2.3amps at complete idle (sitting in the bios screen) no HDD activity at all, and only goes up to 2.7 when starting up ... so the 4 drives equate to .1a each additional draw.
