My MBP just fell off my bed rather dramatically and landed, on its screen hinge side, on the floor with a nice big thud.....and it's fine

I use a Sony TX3 on a day to day basis and can't fault it -battery life is simply stunning (at over 6 hours per charge). Slightly larger than a Flybook, but then they do somehow manage to fit a dvd writer in it... still baffles me how they manage that.

Planning to have one by the end of this year..
    That Toshiba looks rather chunky.

The best laptop I've owned was an older compaq laptop. It survived a number of drops, a trip down the stairs and a pint of water over it. Used it for four years until the screen fell off. Certainly had my monies worth out of that one.

I've now got a Lenovo 3000 N100 which is a pretty decent laptop. Not dropped it yet though so won't commend on its durability just yet. .

    I use two laptops

Dell Inspiron 9300, 2.13ghz Centrino, 2gb, 100gb, 17" 1920x1200, Nvidia 6800 graphics for games / at home use or to watch movies with. Im always very careful with this but it feels very sturdy all the same.

Other laptop is a Panasonic Toughbook - Only 1ghz, 384mb ram, 20gb disk but is great for internet browsing / college work etc and runs XP great. Brilliant thing about that is its so dam tough, just throw it in my bag and it comes out none the worse. My father dropped it out the loft for me (unintentionally) around 3 months ago and despite falling through the bannister (damaging the bannister on the way) and down the stairs....turned on and works fine
