22" Widescreen

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to buy a bunch of 22"W monitors and have short-lised the HP w2207, and Samsung 226BW and 226CW.

Anyone using either of these, or any other recommendations?

Thanks

23" apple cinema screen is nice, but i dont like the fact the refresh rate is so low and can't be upped on them.

I've got a HP w2207 - and i love it
Got it a few months ago to replace my 19" LG 1915SS, and the colors are much better. I don't use the built in USB hub or the pivot function, but as far as I have read on forums before purchasing mine, they should work fine (although some of the first pivot drivers had trouble).

I like the design a lot, it's easy to adjust the settings and the ability to adjust the height is nice as well. The monitor doesn't "waste" as much space on your desktop as most monitors do, due to its special stand.

Use mine primarily for office work, but it should be fine for movies and games as well.

Have got 2 x 19" Samsung Widescreen 941BW Monitors, very good, the quality impresses pretty much everybody so hopefully the bigger ones will be just as good

I bought a cheap Asus 19" Widescreen a few weeks ago - because it was cheap (stupid I know) - and i'd stole my other monitor for the DC.

Its shockingly shite to say the least. Picture itself has good colours etc - but if you look close, its got real irritiating analog noise on the picture.

I bought an LG L226WTQ 22" before Christmas and have been very happy with it. 2ms response time as well so it's good for gaming, if you can find the time

I'll let you know how the Samsung's go. Only for the office so there shouldn't be much gaming going on.

Which Samsung? Don't get the "Pebble" design one, if you want to put it on a decent stand, as it doesn't have Vesa mounting holes on it (I nearly got caught out by that). Am going for the non-Pebble version, as that has Vesa mounts so will go on my gas monitor arms.

The 226's, they have 100mm vesa mounts.

I keep thinking 22"W may not be big enough though :s, so might be shopping for bigger in a couple months.

Duh, my bad, I was thinking one of those codes was the Pebble styled version, and of course it isn't.

Nope, that's a 4 digit code, not sure what but it's 4.

There was something else I didn't like about the pebbles so opted for these.

They look very very nice, but I'll have a proper play on Mon/Tues when the desktops arrive for the new office.

Oh, and I'm in shock. I can't believe I ordered these from Ebuyer last night at 19:45 and they managed to pick, ship and coordinate a delivery with citylink without getting an item wrong, order or item going missing, delays, broken monitors or something else.
