I had one intending to keep it in a rack in Amsterdam, but hated it - my fingers are way too fat to be able to type at anything other than single characters on the (IMHO nasty) keyboard.
The linux was ok once you switched to KDE from the child-friendly o/s it comes with.
I couldnt get it to talk to the APC's over serial (tried several usb-serial cables), yet it was fine talking to the switches.
Overall a usefull toy, but the thing was so slow as to be unusable doing anything other than browsing the web, checking email (could be better on the later models, mine was 512Mb with 2Gb SSD version) - definately not something for serious / regular use.
Internet access by WiFi was very good, webmail (roundcube) worked perfectly - I'd say actually *quicker* than using my desktop, downside was
lots of problems using the browser with anything using heavy javascript - which included our ticket systems and our live-chat.
The Nokia N700/800 has the same JavaScript issues, and a lot of websites on that simply show a blank page, so it's simply that there are a lot of site relying either on IE or IE compatibility of PC Firefox still.
Weights the same as my Sony ultranote CX1, but is bigger due to the trackpad, but I'll stick to a "real" laptop for most things - i just felt overall that I'd end up breaking it either by being heavy handed or out of sheer frustration of yet another thing not working quite as I'd expect.
Another thing I cant type on is the OQO - they're just not quite raised enough for my

however its a tiny "full" laptop and had no compatibility issues.
Took that back and invested in an HTC Shift - now I need to upgrade my glasses as I'm having to use the magnifier tool constantly.
Sadly I've just sent it back with a screen fault (as in I crushed it on the side of a rack) - as thats ideal to just leave in the DC.
