Another vote for 3 here - although the UI creates a couple of virtual COM ports that had a fight with Bluetooth on the lappy in a not entirely open manner

Never had a problem with my T-Mobile USB modem (not the stick thing). It comes with two USB connections on the lead (one for additional power) and I find it works best with them both plugged in.

I've been a bit of a slave to Voda for 3g, always have been... Had an Orange card at the very beginning, but now the "company issue" card is a Voda "stick". I recently went on a cost cutting mission as I felt we were paying way over the odds for what we had, so going from 3 cards which 250mb, paying about £100/mo, it's now £75/mo for 5 cards, with 3gig..!

We all like them, and most importantly, they're Mac compatible.

I've got a Voda card, and i've been very impressed with it. I've also got an Orange card as well, but have yet to use it

Of course my bull-bar is safe, it sits so high the old people and the children go underneath.

Don't bother bin it / cancel it. Data is RUBBISH on Orange, and IMO it works very well on Voda.

It's a backup really, I do have free evenings/weekends data on my orange contract though.

My brother has a vodaphone one, he seems happy with it.

Not used one myself though, as I'm in the dark ages (sold my laptop to me mother)

I hope T-Mobile's 3G stuff is better than their 2G/EDGE.
My iPhone 2G on T-Mobile has shite coverage and their DNS servers seem to spend half of the time on fire...

I've had 3 for around two months and I'm over them moon with it. They claim to have the best 3G coverage and unless I'm in the middle of nowhere I can always get 3G or HSDPA.

They're one of the cheapest for data too. I use wvdial on Linux and my Mac detects the modem natively, so no horrible UI

One issue is that they don't run their own ns: they use 4.2.2.3 and 4.2.2.4. Not the fastest of name servers, but it's easy to point elsewhere.

Oh, T-Mobile are moving onto 3's 3G network soon too.
