Not impressed, personally.
Very poor after support for the game.
No interest in the servers.
Game won't run on my laptop, COD4 runs fine on high.

Thats rather odd Olly about it not running on your laptop, I thought it had very similar if not the same requirements as COD4.
I have it on 360 but not played it yet.

I played the beta version a couple times, while it was interesting seeing dismemberment via grenade the game play seemed a bit lame. Also having become used to the accurate selection of weapons in CoD4 the wildly useless selection in WaW was annoying.

COD4 is far far better, but then again, AIX2.0 BF2 mod just released, absolutely fantastic game

I've ordered this but I'm expecting to be bitterly disappoints which is a real shame as CoD4 was absolutely awesome!

Hands up if you played the Spectre Gunship mission in CoD4 more than ten times

Haven't played it, but I plan to buy it for the 360. It looks amazing. Can't wait to play it.

Amusingly, I've managed to miss FPS war games until now, so this is the first one I've played - quite fun!
By the sounds of things though, might be worth getting CoD4 too? Also got my eye on Bad Company, looks like fun, and is cheap in Game at the moment.

Bad Company - I thought it got bad reviews when it came out, but I just checked and I can't find anything to back that up. Maybe it was a few friends who said that it wasn't very good.
In any case, worth downloading a demo first, to make sure you'll like it! :-)
My first FPS war game was COD3 - I will get COD4 when it becomes cheap so I can get my ass kicked online. Rented it a while ago, and though it was enjoyable, I was crap online. :-)

My AI teammates keep getting in my way, leaving me trapped in a corner while the grenade warning appears and then I blow up. Very annoying.
Very scripted, and not always clear how to make the script advance - but other than that, good fun.

It's outsold COD4 2:1 so far (apparantly).
