Only £1 for 1 yr hosting - what is the catch?

there is a new £1 offer in the market - for the entire year. any hosting package. i am wondering what the catch is...spoke to their hotline - they seemed to be convincing about "no hidden costs".
it seems like there is nothing to lose. thoughts..?

I bought a £1 per year hosting package just to see if it would work.

There is a considerable difference between a cheap host and one that's not so cheap.

Like others have said. You do get what you pay for.

I brought a few packages awhile back which was cheap, Never again, With cheap hosts problems will arise for example, thier support can be slow, server downtime etc,

And of course thier greatest magic trick yet, Boom your sites gone!

I agree. Imagine your site is loaded with other $1 hosting "buddies" on the same server. I bet the server will be pack like sardine.

£1 hosting? Sounds like 3000+ sites on old hardware (Sun Micro kit, left over from VeriSign acquisitions) - little profit for the hosting company, but easy money.

    Wouldn't touch it.
