Thread: Registrar for .com and .co.uk domains

Registrar for .com and .co.uk domains

    domainmonster.com ?
    4dreg.com ?
    register1.net ?
    godaddy.com ?

Which one would you recommend for my .com (2x) and .co.uk (3x) domains?
    I prefer reliability, not price.

From those i'd recommend register1 (at least for .com - never used for .co.uk).

Avoid GoDaddy like the plague! They have a horrible slow control panel that is full of adverts and is generally a pain in the ass to navigate!

You could always look at registering a test domain with each of them and use this to allow you to evaluate each system / control panel / support team / company before you make a large commitment to any of them.

I know we'd certainly have faith in our staff, systems and infrastructure.

Not really worth it for 5 domains though, you've almost registered as many test domains at that point!

I've never used Register1, but have only heard good things about them.

Register1.net is my company of choice for my own .uks and they have been very good with this.
My .coms go to enom but im sure reg1 would be equally as good.

I use register1 - have done for about 3 years, good prices and service, no problems.

    Again Register1.
Been using them for personal domains for awhile, and incredibly good and knowledgeable responses from support staff via ticket system. CP might seem simple, but gives you the right amount of everything.

I will just add another +1 for Register1.net.

Cheap and simple (in a good way), and nameservers can be changed when purchasing or after. Can't think of what else I would want from a domain registrar.

We use 123-Reg for .co.uk's never had any issues that couldn't be fixed easily - We'd use our Enom account but our Enom Provider has the .co.uk's set at a stupidly high cost

Also used tsohost, which have been pretty good also.

123-reg works fine for .co.uk domains but is generally crap for gTLDs. It seems to have real issues with nameserver changes on .eu domains which support quite happily ignore!
