eNom resellers on eBay - Are any of these legit or am I better off signing up direct with eNom?

What happens if one of those resellers goes bust? do I lose my account etc?

Does anyone on here offer sub-accounts thru eNom ?

    Rob,
We have a programmer working on the domain reg automation using Oracle and JSP. Its costing lots of money and scheduled for 6 months to complete, but it will be worth it to get the system straightened out.
It will give us a full enterprise class solution with resellers and which will be compatible with my aim of ICANN accreditation.

enom on ebay - I *personally* wouldnt touch them - you need more information than they often provide and have no way of validating it during the short period of an auction

if you're "upper-level" reseller goes bust, enom takes over the account so your priceing stays set, a worse scenario is that their etp decides to raise the prices, or restrict the services in some way

you *can* always pay enom to make you an etp in the future if you have the required no of domain regsitrations.

signingup direct is best if you really think you are going to regsiter a *lot* of domains - 1000+ - you depoist your $6950 (good rates at the mo) and away you go

the only real differences between an etp creating you an 8.95 a/c and depositting 495$ with enom to get one are

    1. the deposit. with a sub-account if you wat to resell you only have to "top-up" the account ($100 min) rather than the initial 495 open a/c amount, and if you want to only use registry rocket to sell domain you dontneed to credit anthing.

    2. the support ( you can *apparantly* go to enom for support as an etp ) althou 99% of any question is covered by the faq/help and teh other 1% by forums

DomainResell is an unusual-hybrid "redmption/cashback" system - you stil pay the *real* 8.95 per domain, and then you tell them about it, and they log a "credit" on their system of the differnece between what you actually paid (they login to your enom a/c and check) and the amount they "sold" the domains account to you at and every 'n' domains (8 on a 7.95 a/c) you ask them to regsiter a domain on your behalf and to transfer it to your account

All a little convoluted for my tatses, but ingenious ...

If you want a free $8.95 reseller a/c i'm sure there's plenty of us enom ETP's that woudl create you one - just ask

    Hi,

My account doesn't work like that - is this something newer they implemented? I guess upgrading to a $6.95 account with them may not be worthwhile.

We got our account through zoli.. who is usually helpful on those rare occasions when we've needed support.

I was *considering* going direct to eNom, but what are the real advantages? $6.95 domains? Or are they lower?
