Has anyone else seen this? I went to see it the other night - wasnt quite sure what to expect, but I thought it was pretty sh1t - never really been a one for Tim Burton's 'style'...

I'm not into musicals and wouldn't have bothered if i'd have known in advance that thats what it is. Very slow due to all the breaking into song nonsense imho.

Remember that Sweeney Todd *is* a musical - the film is identical to the west end/ Broadway show.

It's no different than Mamma Mia/ Evita / Phantom of the opera.

Whilst i'll admit it is somewhat diferent to Tim Burton's usual genre, I have to say I enjoyed it. Though the first scene was reminiscent of pirates of the Caribbean.
