I'm sorry but it has to be said...

STOP IT. Just use your bloody eyes!
I spent 10 mins this morning shifting through old pointless threads that the offending post deleted.

Incredibly annoying...
I demand a virtual firing squad. If you get 10 votes, you get killed.

Unfortunately this is an age old issue when members require X posts to be able to do advertise and access new areas.

Thankfully Neil/Luara were quick on the ball and deleted a lot of m3ltdown's spam already!

We did have a spam vote system, but obviously that didn't go well.

I still have around 2500 posts gagged...

Its more the posts from other users telling the spammer to stop spamming thats harassing me. They don't get cleared up so it causes the exact same problem as the original spam post.

Virtual firing squad - reduce spammers accounts to read only

Yes - caused quite a confusion with the first post I saw, which was aXer saying something about a confidential quote, but there was no post above it which made any sense - then realised after reading some other threads, that someone had been spamming a bit.

Bit of a head scratching this morning while I read through that first thread wondering what the heck was going on. :-)
