Company + VAT Number

Dear all,

As you can tell, I'm fairly new here. Though I've constantly got one thing on my mind:

Why do most members put their Company and VAT number in their signatures? I've never seen it on other forums.

Companies are supposed to display their registered name, registered number, place of registration and registered office address in business letters, order forms and websites.
Whether or not posts on forums by company representatives are included in this is debatable IMHO but it's better to be safe than sorry.

If the post is made by a person on behalf of a Limited Company, then it helps with the transparency and makes it very clear that the post is of a commercial nature rather than just a personal post

I think it is or at least was in the rules when posting an Offer.

I have finished 2 of the 4 major projects now in the last 2 weeks before i get some free time to spend on the forums.

Shouldn't be too much longer i hope!

I've had a brief reread and there is no mention of company names, numbers, and VAT
I would have thought it would be a sticky, but there aren't even any!

It was a rule that you had to include it in your offers posts, don't think many people bother with it anymore though.

I assume "your" should be "you're". "There" should be "their", and "thouse" is just a simple typo for "those.
