Hi,
What would be the most cost effective way of advertising your new webhosting business, is PPC advertising effective?
Hi,

I'd recommend you search this forum as this question is asked quite often.

Hang on let me get my notes and let you know exactly what to do....
Actually no.
:/ these people arn't too helpful this is a topic I often wonder about. I asked my provider how they advertised and got their business off the ground they now have 2000 customers paying each month. They used ebay and many many web hosting forums. I also use these forums and I'm looking into advertising in local news papers and on local notice boards, I have business cards which are proving rather useful. I hope this post helps you to an extend as I'm still learning of ways to advertise my business.
What does your business plan say?
We were originally a PC Repair Business and as we started to see interest of Web Hosting services we then opened a Hosting extension which has now taken over to be the primary business.
Word of mouth is always the strongest form of advertising![]()
Our main plan is to provide budget/low cost hosting of all kinds shared, reseller, dedicated ETC. but we realise thats alot of products to market properly we really just aim to get our name out there as fast as we can aswell as offer a dedicated fully supported low cost servic but at a top rate.
Oh, that's disappointing. I was hoping you hosted named instances. Having said that, at least you haven't stolen my new business name... pdnshosting!
<-- more broken smilies... that's meant to be a devil one!

Were called Named Hosting mainly because it poped into my head one after noon.
Can I make a few suggestions before you do that.
1. Don't put false testimonials on your website. And if you do, get the dates and domains right.
2. Clear up your site. It's got a lot of inconsistent content/templates and broken links
3. If you're offering Dedicated Servers, then learn the difference between that and shared hosting. Your packages are the same.
4. Sort out your legal policies. They look like something you spent 10 minutes writing.
5. "We hope by the end of 2009 we will have a brand new Data Centre" Best of luck.
6. Buy your .co.uk before I do and sell it back to you.
There's a list of things to work on before you cause yourself too much embarrassment.

If you were to buy the .co.uk best of luck in working with that we are already planning on registering namedhosting.com as a business so you'd have no point in buying :S
OK, well let me know when you want to buy it off me.
(You had that coming...)

You have no right to namedhosting.com if someone else owns it :P but it is a bit ***![]()
Hahaha.. Nick.
I needed a good laugh, and you just provided it

The hosting market is already quite saturated.. What will make you different to everyone else (and via telling the truth and doing what you claim makes you different, not just advertising it)

Has anyone got any ideas what I should put on namedhosting.co.uk?
