Wonder if any of you guys saw this. One of the worst I've ever seen. The Magic Pizza. Can't believe anyone would invest in him.

Anyway, just spotted it the other day.

Haven't pizza dishes with holes in them been around for years?

The majority of pizzas I buy these days say not to use a tray at all...

What makes this different is that it's curved. This allows the pizza base to cook more evenly and stop the base being soggy.

Raymond's pitch was one of the worst but nerves play a large part in the den and they obviously saw something in the product worth their investment.

By the way, plenty are buying them since we launched it last November.

Yes, it's vital to know where your traffic is coming from. It helps with various other aspects of the day to day running of business. The more tools you can add to your arsenal the better, not only for us but for our customers too.

Thanks for the welcome, now I've discovered this site I'll have to take a look around and see what it's about.

Since when has something being popular been related to it's usefulness?

Still, it's an interesting idea. I would hate to pitch anything to the Dragons - I stutter horrendously under pressure and I'm no good for anything that isn't technical.

This is for pizzas that supposedly don't need a tray. It's convex shape allows the heat to circulate and therefore cooks the base more evenly. It also saves up to 20% energy.

LOL about popular vs usefulness. Marketing is key and something that has not been done with this yet.

I'd have agreed about not being able to beat take-away pizza - best pizza I've ever tasted is a little restaurant in Bateman Street, Soho. It was the first place in the UK to have a wood burning oven. The pizza oven cooks brilliantly and I use it almost daily (not a plug).

Somehow we've picked up a few products that were on the show. This is the only one they backed however. We also ran a feature about what really happens on the day in the den as a product we launched a while back caused a scene.

I actually think Chicago Town "Takeaway" pizza is the best you can get from the supermarket

I see you have the tangle teaser too, we have one of those for our daughter, my wife says it is the best hairbrush ever for curly hair, and has recommended it to lots of people.

Best pizza by far is what you make yourself: make the dough from scratch, make your own special pizza sauce, use good quality mozarella... Mmmm

I eat home-made pizza cold for brekkie, but would not touch takeaway pizza cold with a bargepole.

I have to agree with you on that one, those things are awesome. Those cardboard dishes they come with play a large part as they make other pizzas taste better if you re-use them... (or maybe that's just psychological

Actually we just got a marble slab for easter which is meant for stone baking pizza in our Rayburn, so will be trying that soon

I see you have the tangle teaser too, we have one of those for our daughter, my wife says it is the best hairbrush ever for curly hair, and has recommended it to lots of people.

Hi Sean - yes another of those failed Dragons' products!! It's a fantastic brush, I had long hair (down to my waist) and was fed up with pulling it out with an ordinary brush. I got in touch with Shaun after the show and was immediately sold on it. It does do exactly what it claims, the feedback from customers is fantastic. I hope your wife got hers from us lol

Couldn't agree more Chris, takes a bit of time but it's so worth it. Make up plenty of the sauce and you can use it as a base for pasta. And you know it's got none of the junk you get in jars.
