So

has anyone had any?

I am booked in to have injections in my right shoulder and back of my neck on the 2nd November... hopefully they will stop most of the pain and headaches I experience on a daily basis.

the doctor is Dr. Markham (Dr Kevin Markham, Pain Management, Surrey, Hampshire, South East England, Pain, Back pain, private hospital Surrey and Hampshire, Spire Clare Park Hospital)

It was recommended to me by one of the delivery managers at Global Crossing who has had the treatment... she says it left her pain free.

I've been given a 50% chance of 70%+ improvement... i like the odds even if I only get 10% improvement i'll be happy.

Its a day procedure, but done under sedation.

I used to get constant neck and back pain until I invested in a good chair, best £450 I've ever spent.

ps, Nope never had botox ;-)

I think Dan should get a prize for the least likely thread subject on a hosting forum.

Could he do a free one into your forehead at the same time ?

Might as well while your there.

Seriously though I know someone who had exactly this done and he is pain free and it was nearly 2 years ago he had it done. Hope it works out for you.

Slightly OT - but what chair?

I've been thinking about getting a Herman Miller Aeron chair for a while, but not sure if they are worth the money and there is no where local to me to try 1 out before purchasing.

I'd recommend the Aeron PostureFix, can't go back now.
Although be warned - you will need one in home and office, or you'll feel naked without it.

my back/neck pain is to do with recurrent shoulder dislocation injuries from doing such silly things as throwing myself off cliffs on a snowboard, playing ice hockey and playing dodge with london taxis whilst on inline skates.

not related too much to posture.

A dislocated shoulder does not sound like much but I know from experience that it is excruciating in ways that are hard to describe.

i've dislocated:

left shoulder: 6 times (had corrective surgery on that one already)
right shoulder: 2 times
