Thread: How to choose a good hosting company?

To find a good webhosting provider, visit the web hosting forum and ask around. See what people are saying about the service providers. Visit their web sites, learn about their company and accordingly compare their services. Choose which one suits your needs and go for it. I personally suggest to go for free trial or drop a ticket to check their response time.

All of the list is proper, but one should also look what other customers say about the company. Review sites like ShopperApproved or Trustpilot would tell the true directly from the clients
    cPanel Web Hosting from €2.99 /mo. | VPS Hosting from €7.99 /mo. | Powerful Dedicated Servers from €59.95 /mo.

That's fine, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, New Years Day (everyone's still drunk) and their birthday (they don't want to work on that day)

    In brief –

    1. Know your hosting needs.
    2. Investigate on host reliability and uptime guarantees.
    3. Study web host upgrading options.
    4. Check all hosting features (such as number of addon domains allowed) based on your needs.
    5. Check prices on both sign up and renewal.
    6. Check hosting control panel.
    7. Read hosting company’s ToS to find out more about account suspension and server usage policy.
    8. Other supporting features (ie. site backup, environmental friendliness, etc)

I find that most hosting providers utilize the same things like Cpanel, WHM, Litespeed, WHMCS. So technology wise there isn't all that much difference.
What seems to differentiate providers is their pricing and level of support.
In my opinion, smaller hosting providers are better as they have more time and put in more effort to each customer.

Sharing the experiences are great, as well as considering facts from others in your daily life, but anything practical is like that one should try with their own to fully understand pros and cons of the desired subject
