    E-Mailing Spamming

    Hello all,

I am truly annoyed! I keep getting around 21 e-mails from an online pill shop, which I haven't signed up to. I have sent 2 e-mails asking them to stop and remove my email from their mailing list but I haven't had any response.

    What would you do next?

I have thought about ringing the number on the domain whois and speak to the owner of the site.. what you think?

Thanks for your suggestions and views in advance!

    Jase

A golden rule with spam is don't email asking to be removed.. they just know your email is live then.

You are lucky... one of our clients gets enough spam (if it's not filtered) to fill a hard disk in a day or so.

Filter it.. forget it.. move on.

Asking to be removed is a bad idea, someone I know used to do that and he used to get over 100 spams a day. Once I convinced him it was a bad idea he stopped and now his spam levels are going down.

All my spam now goes to spamcop.

If you are a Linux user try to setup Procmail locally or direct on the server. I did a script a while ago where Procmail used to grab all the spam emails and then send/submit them to various spam list.

IF you are making use of any web hosting control panel then you can setup some filters direct there.

    F*#$! spammers....

what ive learned from spam is not to click the remove me link or email them as it gives them your email address anyways and a few mins later more spam comes to your email box,

    Hotmail is bad for spam

I have had those emails to with actual pictures in the email, used to read my email with outlook which downloads the email. I don't do that now with crazy people sending pictures in emails that can get you put in prison.
