A bit sceptical about actually needing more RAM in my desktop PC since it was running Win XP happily with 512MB.

But hey I thought since I have a spar slot lets wack in another 512MB stick.

Well ** bad word removed ** me it is ** bad word removed **ing fast!

I haven't even time to blink when launching outlook.

    Yeh makes such a difference.

I've been sat here for a while with my 2Ghz 1GB Ram PC on XP - only have a 17" Flatscreen though So I think I may be too used to it

when i first got this PC, it was packing 128MB and i ran Unreal Tournament on it with full everything and it took a good 3 mins to precache....
...now i put 2x 512MB chips in it, the game is ready to go in about 30 secs max

We love them - soooo reliable! At the end of the day the main thing we want with a server is reliability!!

Anyhow... My last PC (but one) was an old dog that i built around '95 that had a P120 Proc and 64Meg of RAM - best PC i ever had, never let me down. Still use it for network sniffing. Current PC starts to keel over when i've got too may windows open though (which invariably i have). I think this will be the first time that we've bought PC's that don't have the latest speed CPU (we've always gone one down from the latest one; makes a heck of a difference in cost), but 2.5GHz up from .75GHz!! - Should make quite a difference?!?

Well... i'm just looking forward to the speed!!
