Thread: Mouse Rage Syndrome

    Mouse Rage Syndrome

With all the talk these days that we are becoming more short-tempered, has anybody got any stories of somebody losing their cool and taking out their frustrations on their computer?

I am not sure if mouse rage is a new or a real phenomenon, or whether it has been reported under a different name in the past. I am concerned that if we concentrate on this syndrome as being a computer-related illness, then it will give those with agressive personalities an excuse for bad behaviour.

It's always been around. Does anyone remember dying right near the end of Mario/Zelda/etc and ripping the cartridge out of the snes and giving it a good kicking?

I actually find myself taking out more rage on my keyboard than my mouse - it sure gets a battering when I'm fired up!
