So, who's gonna get one?
I just sold my first gen iPhone for substantially more than the new one is gonna cost me, so I'm upgrading (although if I couldn't have sold mine for roughly what a new one costs, I'd have not upgraded)

I love my current one, and the 3G/HSDPA chip just sweetens the deal for me

I'm debating gettign a hosted exchange account for use when I get mine, I don't fancy using Mobile Me as I don't think you can use your own domain name with that?
Sold my iPhone a while back. Edge was too slow and being that I was with Orange it was costing shit loads in bandwidth charges.
I'm out of contract with orange now and I've had enough with em so probably gonna end up with a 3G iPhone.

I lost £50 over 6 months based on what I sold mine for, that said - over 6 months, I've had £50 of use out of the "PDA features" alone
Since Orange has just withdrawn the TyTn II and there's no sign of the HTC Diamond or Touch Pro in the near future I'm considering it too. Retentions haven't been able to do anything significant to keep me interested in the last week.I'm thinking about it... sick of WindowsMobile crashing etc etc

Great value shared hosting & unmetered ADSL Broadband.
one thing worth noting with the iPhone, if something isn't explicitly mentioned on the Apple website as a feature, that feature won't exist
unless you hack it.... opens up a world of possibilities, although saying that the app store sounds promising, even if you cant have apps open constantly (like msn in the background).

That said, the push notification service does look interesting.
I was playing with the SDK last night, it's good but lacks some major components. I couldn't find a way to do a direct HTTP post to upload a file for instance...
I had two replacements of the M3100 in a week as the second was faulty and they replaced the second M3100 with a tytn II, new WM6.1 on it and I'm currently rummaging xda-dev for some software that works.
Having said that my retentions girly said the diamond is due in the next couple of weeks, but I really wanted a touch pro, but they aren't due until Q3 apparently. Upshot is I have a Samsung i780 (horrid), a blackberry 88 series (thinking about it) and half a hundred weight of replacements for everyone else on Monday!.
Out of the lot I still like the tytn II or will when it stops crashing and will buy a touch pro when they are released. Upshot is if you argue enough they can "find" tytn IIs if you want them.

Yeah, I'll be upgrading... I like my iPhone a lot, use it for personal rather than business though. Got a nasty scratch down the front of it which bugs me, so that's on the very very short list of reasons to upgrade..![]()
