Previously recommended server monitoring software

Hi,
In the last couple of months someone here recommended some server monitoring software similar to nagios. Part of the name could have been ...bix (but equally could have not been). It was on sourceforge. Unfortunaltly I didnt bookmark it on any of the computers I normaly use and I cant see it in any of my searches on here...

Any chance someone knows what im on about?

Might be Zabbix? (http://www.zabbix.org/)

There are lots of others too, such as:

cricket (http://cricket.sourceforge.net/)
munin (http://munin.projects.linpro.no/)
monit (http://www.tildeslash.com/monit/)

depending what level of monitoring you're after.

I needed some good server monitoring software a while back, is zabbix any good? or would you recommend any of the others on that list?

We were using Zabbix but my techs got frustrated with the number of false alerts and wrote their own system which has so far been 100% accurate. I don't know whether dropping Zabbix was my techs and their overzealous developer sides coming out and wanting to do it their way, or a problem with Zabbix itself though.
