Just a little tip for anyone that's really had enough of fantastico, like i did with its slow responses etc.

Try installatron, its unbelievably better than what fantastico has to offer.

I've never noticed any real difference between any of the "installers", and F is fast enough - if you're seeing performance problems it'll be what you're running it on thats at fault ...

Same here I don't really notice a whole lot of difference between them just we use installatron for Direct Admin and Fantastico for cPanel.

We use Installatron with DirectAdmin, it has been fantastic - interface is nice and simple for the clients; with minimal technical knowledge required. I believe (although I haven't checked recently) that Installatron has a large database of scripts than Fantastico.

I generally think it is a much more light weight program than Fantastico, which can only be good a thing. Although I haven't used Fantastico in a very long time; it could of changed.

Another Installatron user here - has anyone tried creating their own installer for it?

Don't think Fantastico lets you do your own (or does it - havent used it for years)

we have installatron on all our servers, and we create installers for it all the time. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but we have it pinned down now

installatron for sure. We've got around 100 installs between shared and some dedicated and it's really good.

They're have been hiccups, but the support forums are good. The guys get problems solved really quickly.
