Protx and Automated billing software ?

    Hi Guys,

I am looking at using Protx's online payment services, and was wondering if there was any automated billing software available which could be used with them (such as, Modernbill) ?

    Thanks

Unless Protx will store and perform the recurring payments for you (a la Worldpay FuturePay), you'll need a billing package that can store the card details (personally I think this is very bad) and do it that way.

(I've not looked at Modernbill functionality so I don't know).

With ClientExec you can take two approaches, either use an auto-payment module that does the above (only some of their modules support this) or just let the clients manually pay each invoice.

I've just finished writing a new module for CE and I've opted for the latter.

Also remember you won't be able to use CVV with stored card details as CVV data is not supposed to be stored long term.

Is the module that you have written to integrate clientexec and Protx?

You don't need to store credit card information with Protx, you just send the repeat code that you are given when the card is first billed. So you only need to store the repeat code, no CC information.

    Warm Regards,
    Ben

No, mine is for Terra Payments (SureFire/FirePay).

There already appears to be a Protx module though.

I wasn't able to find any mention of this on their site and a Google search didn't find anything either. Care to enlighten me on this?

Seems there is a Modernbill module for it - that looks promising.

Yeah, the CE site isn't always very explanatory on the product features, so you have to check the forum.

Or, you can always download the trial version (see forum) and have a play with it that's where I found out what modules were available, and then decided to write one.

It doesn't really integrate with anything (yet), but for $99 not bad at all.
