Are there any free POP3 webmail providers?
I have my own dedicated server and would like to provide a webmail facility to customers. How easy/expensive is this to do?

I think you can use something like Squirrel Mail to do this -- I am investigating that at the moment.
Squirrel mail is GPL http://www.squirrelmail.org/

Thanks very much guys, I'll look into it.
We use the following free ones:
squirrelmail (see above for url)
horde (horde.org)
neomail (neomail.org)
Another product to look at:
hivemail (hivemail.com) - not free but quite an intresting project going on there.
We also use a webmail service found at:
http://webmail.agcc.net
At the moment, I cant renember where I got it from, but if its of any use to you, let me know and ill send you the script.

We use Squirrelmail primarily and find it very reliable. However none of the scripts mentioned are pop3 - they are all IMAP.
Have you tried looking on Aspin.com?
With horde you can install in one linux server and provide access for other POP servers. horde.org . Other option is some pop checker like mail2web.ws
we use horde, its ok I suppose

Don't even need to setup webmail on your server
EDIT: Crap this thread is old. Sorry.:S

Another vote for 'horde' here. It came recommended to us and we've never had any problems with it.
