    Whm Autopilot vs Modern Bill

What are ppl currently using ? ive been using whmap for a few months now, and like how it works, apart from the obvious problem of not being able to sell domain names without hosting. one of the problems which should be fix in version 3 when it comes out !!! How are ppl finding working with eiter this billing programs and the account workflow ? Havent got a reason to change yet to modernbill, for what i need to manage my customers at the moment works out, wouldnt mind better options on the support help desk built in !!

We use modern bill, and its "alright" nothing can beat a in house programmed solution.

Modern Bill does what it says it will do, although it seems to do it in the most awkward way possible with us! We decided to use it because of its support for Plesk. The automation is a huge benefit for creating accounts, it allows customers to have account access within 20 minutes (or the frequency to which you set the API que to update).

Modern bill has its draw backs, it has no multi-currency support and a few other points that we would have liked and as you mentioned they seem to say it will be fixed in the next version

Clientexec is also a great choice. You can even use it without been a hosting company (just sending invoices for a software house as an example)

Modernbill provides perfect solution for automation - if configured right you would see the magic.

Recently they launched Version 5 beta - if someone intrested can check out their Annual Hosting Workshop --

SSL Factory is another good module they have added.

Overall ModernBill is best billing software in Industry.

If you live in the US.

Maybe things have changed, but when I last investigated it (~6 months ago maybe, I can't recall).. the VAT implementation wasn't great, and the Nominet support had issues - both things I picked up from the user forum.

Using ModernBill at the moment. We converted from WHMAP a few months ago because it lacked some of the features that we needed and we got sick of waiting for WHMAPv3.

After Neil from UKWSD and I worked on the Nominet module - actually making one that signs emails and sends renewals once invoices have been paid - the Nominet support is 100 times better.

Makes life alot easier - I can tell you

Thats good to hear. We're looking at registering with Nominet ourselves soon and will want some decent software to back us up.

Looks like ModernBill will be more than capable of this which is good seeing as Nominet support is one of the reasons why we switched.
