A little bit.. not massive amounts though!
If I'm brutally honest these "awards" say nothing about the service.
Its a bought award. I know it is because we also advertise with web host dir, but I haven't bothered to go with an "award" out of principle.

Nope this award is true reflection to our service. We do not advertise we web host dir, they are expensive. The "vote for us" button has been on our site since day 1.
the awards from WHDIR are
"gifts" to new advertisers,
"thank you's" to peple who've let most of their clientbase leave your site to go buy hosting from someone else through the whd vote/member logos or
"bribes" to say please dont take your huge ad budget away from us
We *won* "best uk shared hosting" one month simply by asking them for their rate card ....
