Broadband supplier Bulldog Communications is planning to introduce a 20Mbps ADSL service in the third quarter of this year, CEO Richard Greco revealed to us today.
It won't be the only 'broadband first' for Bulldog in 2004, as it is currently testing an 8Mbps service. The company is currently the only 6Mbps provider in the UK.
On the downside, these high-speed services are or will be available only in the Central and West London areas covered by Bulldog's own network, but Greco expects that to change as the network coverage is expanded.
The company's 1Mb and 2Mbs services are much more widely available, through 450 unbundled BT exchanges in major cities. Prices have recently been cut for both, with the PrimeTime 1000 1Mb service now £24.99 per month and the PrimeTime 2000 2Mb service £29.99 (prices include VAT).
