Might be worth bunging a TV directly onto the cable first before buying too much just in case
We have a whole range of splitters on our cable as I was able to talk nicely to the guy who came to fix our installation issues when we upgraded to digital. I have an external splitter to run the cable to the office for the network router, then internally we have a splitter for the digital TV, then another to provide both analogue and FM hookup.
If you have digital TV don't be tempted to use traditional cheap TV "Y" splitters from Dixons as this may b*gger up your digital box as we found out when the 1st digital upgrader didn't bother replacing the old cabling.
I have an old PC in in the office in bits slowly being built as a PVR, so may well bung another splitter in the office to provide a direct feed to it, so I'd be interested in your results.
