Have you seen the adverts for free broadband for orange pay monthly customers?

It seems that there following talktalk by offering free broadband. But again is it sustainable?

Can they keep it up?

How many more will follow?

IIRC orange have bought wannapoo (ex freeswerve) so they certainley have a large enough installed base...

You need to be on a £30 or more pm package and the free broadband includes 2GB usage allowance.

Not exactly a fantastic package but then I'm sure lots of people will be quite happy to save £10 a month if they only require a basic service.

from what i've also seen, it looks like you have to be on a minimum of an 18month contract aswell

Ewwww, broadband from Orange, it's bad enough having a mobile with a company that cares more about new signups than saving money and keeping existing long term customers happy.

High contention... poor capped limits... and its wannadoo... anymore needed to be said?

Plus the fact, you have to have a NEW 18 month contract with them to get it, so say you have had an orange contract for 6, 8, 9 months etc.. they want you to renew then and there for 18 months.... (and they tarrif prices have gone up too!)

We are with Orange business... service is alright, won't be touching the DSL though ;P

Agreed. ~£500-£1000 bills for 7 months straight and I'm struggling to get a decent upgrade from them.

orange for home broadband is a no no, but... they do have a fairly good deal on orangeworld GPRS at the mo that is good for mobile use
