Good point, still have to get used to that! Would have to be 2009; went away for new year, so the only games I've played in 2010 have been Gnometris and Sit-In-Traffic-Jams-On-The-M5-For-4-Hours.

(Could get both but with a business to run and a little'un that'd just be daft).
Still cba to cough up for XBLG so can't speak for multiplayer, but for single player entertainment and value for money I'd go for AC2. MW2 was fast and fun but linear and over too quickly (couple of days of on-off play even after going back and replaying old missions); I played AC2 almost solidly for the week over Christmas, still haven't finished the main story, and haven't started the side missions.

If you're looking for something you can steal a few minutes with, IIRC MW2 saves at the end of each mission, AC2 saves whenever you do something significant (start/complete a mission, see a cutscene, change cities, find treasure, buy something etc), which means AC2 is a bit easier to turn off mid-game - usually all I'd lose was running across a few rooftops, whereas MW2 I'd lose my entire mission progress.

I've not got AC2 yet but heard lots of good stuff about it, think I'll have to borrow it from my younger brother when I've finished playing Forzaa 3 and LFD2

Got Xbox 360 for my eldest this Christmas (yes it was for him!)

He only had a small portable in his room so as a temporary measure I set him up with a projector from the office. Nothing like paying COD MW2 on a 6 foot screen

Only thing is I am also well into playing it now and the projector may become a permanent fixture.

Online play seems stupid. Team death match everyone seems to just run around with no organisation or tactics. I am guessing it is not until you get into proper clans that I can expect a more realistic game rather than someone charging at me as soon as I re-spawn.

Going completely off topic now, how do you join clans these days? I used to be in clans 10-12 years ago - you'd hang around a server for a few weeks, get noticed by the clans who played on there, then get invited to join. But these days it seems to be random server selection, getting matched up with random strangers etc, so I rarely see the same people more than once. I don't have any friends in real life, so haven't played a decent team-based game in years.

Me too, I guess its a guess of asking/applying and even if you suck say do you know a clan that sucks that might need me

Very different games but both good in their own rights. I rarely get time to play my xbox with work/family but it's nice when I do get the chance. Will have even less opportunity when our new addition pops out in March

I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means - postal chess being more my thing - but I saw it last weekend and it was awesome - and all the better for being on a 48 inch screen !
