Iphone
am i the only one who fell for the marketing and bought the iphone?
its really nice, but i found 8gb isnt enough room for all my music, and the fact the battery lasts about a day!!!! i can see why they left 3g out of it....

I have one too. I like it alot but couple of things....
1. 8GB is fine. I dont _need_ to carry my entire music collection with me. Even if I did I don't think there is a mp3 device that can hold some 300GB worth?
2. EDGE can be slow at times. 3G is where it's at. Next year probably....
3. Battery? It's fine for me. I get 2-3 days normal usage out of it.
The only major problem I have with this phone is the fact It's surrounded by such a stupid amount of hype. I've had a socially inept nerds who would normally have problems speaking to his own mum come up to me and start spouting all the reasons why I shouldn't have got one. If I wasn't in a public place and in broad daylight I might have been so inclined to punch his stupid little face in.

i also dont like the fact you cant tilt the iphone on its side and browse emails like that... especially when i get html emails...
and the hype thing yeah, had some guy come up to me when i was buying it, holding the iphone box and he said oh (with cross eyes) is that the new iphone?!?!?! bit annoying...
dont know if you travel by train atall, but everyone seems to look at it whilst im trying to read emails....

1 day battery life would be a killer for me, I normally leave my mobile on the desk for days on end without a charge (I know its not "just" a mobile but that would be the primary use of a phone).

Without calls it will last a week quite easily.

Dean got one from USA, it's quite nice, I'm half tempted, but I know I'd always be forgetting to charge it. Think I'll wait till the 3G version (and hopefully a user replaceable battery)

Charging over USB isn't much good if you've not got anything with USB to plug it in to If they make it have a user replaceable battery I'd consider it, then I can keep a spare one charged up.

changing the subject slightly, I got a nice shiney new battery on a 14 month old MacBook from Apple for free. There's also a device been launched recently that acts as a case and extra battery for the iPhone which will prolong the battery life

ok - so what happens if your on the phone and you have to press x for sales / y for this department?? My windows phone screen switches off the backlight to save power and its a nightmare if you have to press a number (voicemail deleting etc) ..... I could turn the backlight on for longer of course

I was in the apple shop last night and was playing with an iPhone, there's some things about it that are really intuitive but I feel the lack of 3g, inability to group text or send picture messages (non email based) are a let down
