I'll not be upgrading from my 40GB iPod photo anyway, at least not for now.

Has anyone actually bought one, i went into the iPod store and they said they didnt have any in stock untill friday....great
That's the oldest story in the book as far as apple are concerned - they've never been able to get stock out to retailers (though usually they look after their own stores) in a timely fashion.
