Logic 3 iPod inline remote control - Anyone Have this?

Hi,

Thought I would quiz the forum before I head back to HMV with receipt in hand. Today I purchased a Logic 3 ipod in-line Remote Control (model IP118). It seemed a sound buy at only £9.99 for the control unit and a set of headphones - especially as I seem to have permanently mislaid my ipod phones.

First impressions were generally OK: The Headphones are Fairly cheap and Nasty but work well on their own and the control unit, though light and plasticy, has a pretty good feel to it and the light on the centre button is a nice touch. The control interface works well on my old ipod Mini and all the buttons do what they say.

It falls down when you press Play however...much to my horror the device (or at least the one i have) seems to cut a lot of sound out effectively reducing many of my favourite songs Karoke versions with no audible lyrics, on other tracks parts of the music cannot be heard.

Just curious if anyone else has bought this product and found similar symptoms. It could of course just be the one I have is faulty (there were plenty in the shop so it would be just like me to pick the duff one) but I cant decide whether I can be bothered trying another one or just get my money back.

Just to update, I took the set back and got another one which works fine. Its not what one would call High Quality but it does what it says on the packaging with little loss in audio quality! Great lil item for the price...just try not to pick up the only faulty one in the shop >_<
