Hi guys, i have an ipod 60GIG.

I have put all my music on the ipod, works wonderfull (for an ipod, not good as creative, thiefing gits)

but, my video files dont work. i have a picture but no sound, some one once told me i need to "buy" some software to make it work, is this true, or is he talking out of his rear end?

You could try downloading a program called "Total Video Converter". This changes the formats and sizes of some videos for the iPod and PSPs, as well as mobiles. Using this with the codecs that it tells you to download specifically upon install you will find that you will have sound on these video files. Try converting the files (if this is what you are doing) with total video converter, and then try playing the video on the ipod.
