Chuff that, for £650 per month (business expense obviously)! you can have 100meg p2p to one of your occupied DCs and use your own transit. And you can have it this year!

Don't tempt me, I keep thinking about doing exactly that!
Thing is, each time I suggest it someone thinks it's a good idea to use me for easy off site backups and I go right off the whole thing

Hmm time to charge them for the facility ;-) We give our punters night time capacity use of their wireless leased lines to the DC so they can perform remote backup, but with a CAR to the internet (i.e. whatever they actually pay for) and TBH we sold a stack of remote backups that way, so many in fact we had to upgrade the radios at the DC for just the blooming night time backup traffic.

If you can charge for it, then you are laughing!
