Wireless card tweak:

Hi,
A newbie as i am this question might seem stupid.i have this wireless-g card and done a bit of reading on radio waves, band 'basic stuff , what i would like to know is there a way to change or variate the frequency of the card itself to pick up a lower frequency say in the public band range?...as i said may sound stupid but i guess this would be alota fun..info greatly appreciated

The only legitemate way to alter the frequency that I know of is to change the channel. Anything else and you risk causing all sorts of trouble if you inadvertently start transmitting on certain frequencies.
