Hi Guys,

there is a new thing that will be out shortly prob in a year called WiMax which is a convergence of 802.11b technology but for the mobile phone which will allow phones to connect to one another via this link.

Not at all. WiMax or more correctly 802.11n is the next generation Wireless Data specification from the IEEE.

Most manufacturers have already release pre-spec devices such as Netgear's Pre-N range.
